Luxury car rental in Marrakech gives you access to models such as the Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes C-Class, Volkswagen Touareg and Kia Carnival, typically from around 1,000 to 1,500 MAD per day. Which luxury car suits your stay?
Mercedes C-Class: elegant and discreet
Ideal for business trips, dinners in Gueliz and Hivernage, or the motorway to Casablanca. It is refined and comfortable, and its size makes it easier to handle in town than a big SUV.
Range Rover Evoque: the Marrakech favourite
Stylish, compact for an SUV and comfortable on the roads to the Palmeraie, Agafay or the Ourika valley. It suits couples and small families who want presence without an oversized vehicle.
Volkswagen Touareg and Land Cruiser: comfort off the beaten track
If your plans include the High Atlas or a trip towards the desert, the Volkswagen Touareg combines luxury and genuine capability. The Land Cruiser is more rugged and at home on tough tracks.
Kia Carnival: for groups travelling in style
Seven seats, lots of luggage room and a premium cabin: perfect for families, wedding parties or golf trips. We cover it in more detail in our article on van and 7-seater rental in Marrakech.
Conditions for luxury car rental in Marrakech
- Driver age and experience: the minimum is often higher than the usual 21 years with 2 years of licence. Ask before booking.
- Deposit: significantly higher than for an economy car, reflecting the car's value and excess.
- Insurance: full cover to reduce the excess is well worth considering on a premium car. Our guide to car rental insurance in Morocco explains the options.
- Documents: passport, original licence and, ideally, an International Driving Permit.
Most luxury models are automatics, which makes city driving easier. If a gearbox is your main concern, see our tips on automatic car rental in Marrakech.
Delivery and service
We deliver to Marrakech-Menara airport, hotels and riads, Gueliz and the train station, and we are happy to bring the car to a villa in the Palmeraie or on the Ourika or Amizmiz roads when arranged in advance. The car is handed over clean, with a full walk-around check and a contact number you can reach during your rental.
Before you set off, the agent will show you the main controls: parking sensors and cameras, driving modes, navigation and how to connect your phone. Take a minute for this; premium cars differ a lot from one brand to another, and it is easier to learn in a car park than on a busy roundabout.
For events such as weddings, photo shoots or corporate visits, let us know the schedule in advance so we can plan timings and, if you need several vehicles, keep matching cars available.
Practical tips for driving a premium car in Marrakech
- Park in guarded car parks or at your hotel. Avoid leaving a luxury car on narrow streets near the medina, where tight manoeuvres can mean scuffed wheels.
- Keep valuables out of sight, as you would anywhere.
- Watch the speed bumps, which can be steep in residential areas and villa estates.
- Plan your routes around the old city: large cars and the medina's lanes do not mix.
